Classroom Programming
K-12 School Groups
At Glensheen Mansion, we offer a range of programs designed to support K–12 learning. Our tours and hands-on activities are built with curricular alignment in mind, helping educators connect their visit to classroom goals and state standards.
Students explore the mansion’s history and get a glimpse into life in the early 1900s. Along the way, they’re encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and make connections. They’ll look at architecture, talk through historical context, and explore the artistic details that make Glensheen such a unique place in Minnesota.
Scout Troops
For Scouts, Glensheen offers interactive programs that help meet badge requirements while keeping things fun and hands-on. Scouts can explore the Lake Superior shoreline, take part in nature-based activities, or try workshops focused on skills like craftsmanship and conservation.
Along the way, they build new skills, work together, and leave with a real sense of accomplishment.
