The following will be in effect through end of October:
Northbound traffic can use London Road as normal. Southbound traffic will run on Superior Street from Highway 61 to 40th Avenue.
Traveling from West Duluth/Downtown - accessing London Road via I-35
For those traveling from West Duluth or the Downtown area that currently utilize I-35 to get on London Road, expect no changes in getting to and from Glensheen. There may be more traffic backups at 26th Avenue due to the roundabout construction but you should be able to access I-35 without issue.
Traveling from Lakeside/North Shore - accessing London Road via Highway 61 Expressway or Residential intersections
For those traveling from Lakeside or up the North Shore that access London Road from the east/north, you will be detoured onto Superior Street. At 40th Avenue, you'll be able to turn left at the light and access London Road via the controlled intersection in front of Ecumen. Heading back, you'll have access to Lakeside via 40th Avenue and no issues heading northbound on Highway 61.
Traveling to/from UMD campus and the hillside - accessing London Road via 26th Avenue to 40th Avenue
For those traveling to/from campus and the hillside that access London Road via 26th Avenue to 40th Avenue normally, you will be able to utilize any intersection from 32nd Avenue to 40th Avenue to access London Road. The intersection at 26th Avenue will remain closed for roundabout construction. Heading back, you can get to Superior Street via the neighborhoods without issue.
